I think it’s about 5 months ago that I started working on formidable. The journey has been quite interesting, and I’ve learned a lot along the way. Mostly how AI not always being the best at understanding my goals. I think AI lacks oversight and the ability to grasp the bigger picture more often than not.

But I needed to find a way to structure markdown content more effectively, so that I could enter data like in a form. This lead me to explore the idea of making templates for various content types, allowing for a more consistent and streamlined approach to content creation. I wanted several field types, like list, table, and more, to accommodate different kinds of information and layouts. Another thing of creating templates was to ensure that the content was easily reusable and adaptable for different contexts. By defining a clear structure and set of components, I could quickly assemble new pages or posts without having to start from scratch each time.

A lot of my experience came from a project I once did to create a system to manage and organize a large collection of potentials for a school for higher education. This experience taught me the importance of having a flexible and scalable content structure, which ultimately influenced the design of formidable.
